HOW CAN YOU HELP?

VOLUNTEER

We are actively recruiting for new committee members - please see our blog for more information.

If you would like to get involved in another way - we'd be happy to hear from you. Please email us or contact us via Facebook!

DONATE

Trees for Spondon is now fundraising to buy several, larger British native trees to help our existing (and new) copses establish well and be less appealing to unwanted attention! For more information on our initiative or to donate, please visit our fundraising page.

ASSIST IN ORGANISING

Trees for Spondon is always looking for enthusiastic community members to help with the website, social media, planting or any other useful ideas you may have. Get in touch!

WHY PLANT TREES?

They help to combat climate change, provide shelter for wildlife species and let's face it - during the changing seasons they are rather beautiful to look at. Check out our gallery for some photos of trees from our very own village.

VOLUNTEER HEALTH AND SAFETY

  • The weather may be inclement, so please ensure you wear appropriate footwear and clothes.

  • Please bring your own equipment - spade, gardening gloves, hand sanitiser and snacks.

  • If you need a spade, please contact us and we'd be happy to help.

Tree planting is physical work, please only volunteer if you feel you are fit, healthy and able to work outdoors for periods of time. If you're worried about planting but would still like to help, please get in touch as you may be able to assist in community engagement and raising awareness.

We value any time you are able to spare! Thank you.
